摘要: A multiphase computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model has been developed to address the major components of ozone disinfection processes: contactor hydraulics, decay and mass transfer. The was applied simulate profiles tracer residence time distributions contactors at DesBaillets Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Montreal, Canada. modelling results showed that residuals cross-section outlet each chamber were very sensitive monitoring point selection. optimum locations significantly affected by multiple operational parameters including water/gas flow rates, dosage baffling conditions. suggested points should be used obtain more representative residuals. CFD also study factors affecting distribution (RTD). It observed method injection could slightly affect RTD while sampling location had a significant influence on prediction or measurement. Therefore, it is employed during tests if possible.
