摘要: Today’s world is clearly fractured whether we are looking at it through economic, political, cultural or educational lenses. This in no way something new. The has always been this state, but the speed with which reacted to real perceived threats and tried change accordingly was barely perceivable and, therefore, easier adopt adapt to. Today those changes happen incredible our reactions them may not be informed educated usually taken by leaders who are, best, controversial worst obviously partial their own, petty interests against greater public good they vowed serve. What can higher education do such a world? Artificial intelligence (AI) making huge progress although all levels lagging behind meaningfully adopting AI working it, system expected react divided fear of using big data, claiming jobs, ushering era loss human supremacy glorification only tool, fast developing indeed, permanently controlled intelligence. Even if that concentrated into fewer decision makers thus contributing already gap inequality existing today’s world. present paper will explore issues related leadership chooses handle challenges use home university authors illustrate what happens Romanian universities. discussion authors’ own experience as well an analysis various discourses narratives belonging different stakeholders, discussing inter/national media. offer some recommendations.
