摘要: Over the last decade so-called ’fractionator’ has become widespread in anatomical and pathological research for obtaining unbiased estimates of total numbers particles biological specimens. Several methods have been proposed predicting precision (i.e., variation) estimated using fractionator estimates). However, validity these not tested so far. As it is impossible to do with experiments, was carried out here by a computer simulation. Specimens containing particles, various particle distributional patterns, were modeled, number specimens repeatedly modeled sampling schemes. It could be shown that empirically depend on both pattern specimen as well applied scheme. Furthermore, considerable differences between predicted found. This due partly an incorrect assumption, which serves basis one methods, fact some important contributions variation considered, mathematical theory, all far, can principle optimum estimates. Based results simulation, new, simple method
