摘要: Purpose The purpose of this study was to evaluate the error magnitude in clinical application face-bow devices. Technical and methodologic inaccuracies, as well deviations from reference planes, were determined. Materials Methods presented method is part a 3-dimensional virtual planning procedure for orthognathic surgery included 15 patients with dentoskeletal deformities. Cone beam computed tomography datasets obtained referenced plane centric registration splint matched cone registered plaster model maxilla mounted an articulator. To assess potential sources errors, angulations measured between horizontal cross bar reproducibility anatomic plane, Frankfort articulator measured. Statistical significance set at P Results errors showed mean deviation 3.5°, median 3.6° SD 2.7°. values did not reach statistical ( = .1). However, there significant Conclusions In traditional use devices inaccuracies mounting assignment planes. Three-dimensional computer-assisted seems be more accurate than conventional methods.
