Conjugated Hyperbilirubinemia in a Child with Streptococcus pneumoniae-associated Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome.

摘要: Conjugated hyperbilirubinemia is a rare complication of hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS). We report case 2-year-old female with Streptococcus pneumonia-associated HUS (SP+ HUS) who developed severe cholestasis. It important for pediatric gastroenterologists to be aware manifestations HUS, and that although rare, cholestasis can one the early findings in patients SP+ HUS.
