摘要: Abstract Tetrahydrofuran solutions of cis- or trans-polyisoprene react rapidly with a NO 2 /N O 4 mixture without crosslinking and gelation the solution (as happens in other solvents) formation dinitro-adduct (nitro-cis-PIP nitro-trans-PIP) as main product. The chemical structure adduct was analyzed by FT-IR UV spectroscopy revealing that species than nitro (-NO ) groups are also present adduct, like for instance nitrate group (–ONO ). thermal stability studied thermogravimetric analysis (TGA-DTG) combined differential (DTA). initial decomposition is exothermic release heat reaches its maximum at about 200 °C completion occurs 325 °C. amount determined TGA-DTG. followed TGA-FTIR analytical technique certain number volatile gaseous were detected ranging from mixtures nitrogen oxides nitroalkanes to NH 3 , HCN CH . nitro-cis-PIP nitro-trans-PIP yield carbon foam even 400 °C which can be defined crosslinked vitreous spectroscopy.
