摘要: From the Tumor Registries of East Orange, New Jersey, Veterans Administration Medical Center, and College Medicine Dentistry Jersey/New Jersey School, 1,066 cases head neck cancer were reviewed. Blacks comprised 32% population Charts 70 patients, 45 years old or younger, examined. Seventy percent this group was black. At diagnosis, proportion patients younger 14% for blacks 2.9% whites, a significant difference (P less than 0.001). Seventy-six lesions in black 86% white situated above hypopharynx. Sixty-one all had Stage III IV when first diagnosed, regardless race. Black-to-white survival rates 23 to 40% after 2 years, 5 13% those at risk years. Prognosis is poor general, worse young whites.
