摘要: Abstract. Agriculture continues to play its role as the backbone of Ghanaian economy despite that contribution GDP has declined by seven-percentage points between 2007 and 2013. The relationship agricultural practices environmental sustainability poses serious challenges, yet it attracted less attention in many developing countries particularly Ghana. This paper presents a review impact on findings study reveal some country’s such deforestation, slash-and-burn agriculture, negative soil nutrients balance, increased dependence agro-chemicals for both crop animal production – chemical fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, vaccines antibiotics, antimicrobial drugs, biotechnology, etc threaten our need be altered. Besides, degrading soil, water, air biodiversity well posing health risks famers consumers, also contribute high carbon-emissions into atmosphere facilitating climate change. effects productivity are devastating negate farmers’ income livelihoods, environment general. These not sustainable; they degrade reduce effective functioning essential ecosystem services; ultimately, undermine nutritional value foods. recommended sustainable enhance through resilient/adaptive low-carbon technologies aim cope with vagaries change emissions carbon compounds thereby, protecting natural resource base present future generations.
