Determination of oleanolic and ursolic acid in Chinese herbs using HPLC and γ-CD as mobile phase modifier

摘要: To separate and determine oleanolic acid ursolic acid, a rapid accurate HPLC using γ-CD as the mobile phase additive was developed. The effect of CD nature concentration, acidity on chromatographic behavior two bioactive triterpenes were systematically studied. Two completely separated (R = 3.11) Kromasil® C18 column (150×4.6 mm id, 5 μm) with consisting acetonitrile/0.1% phosphoric 2 mM modifier (60:40, v/v). flow rate set at 1.0 mL/min eluent detected 210 nm for triterpenes. linearity method excellent (r=0.9999) over studied range 6–300 μg/mL 12–600 μg/mL acid. LOD LOQ 1.5 5.0, 1.0 3.0 μg/mL respectively. optimized successfully applied to in five Chinese herbs. It is concluded that this could be used qualitative quantitative analysis
