p120 and AgNOR nucleolar protein expression: A comparison with nuclear proliferation markers in oral pathology

摘要: To find a better method for predicting the biological behavior of certain oral cavity lesions, expression nucleolar protein p120 and organizer region counts (AgNOR) was compared with that nuclear proliferation markers MIB-1 PCNA in 10 cases keratotic epithelial hyperplasia (KEH), dysplasia (ED), 15 squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Significant differences AgNOR mean area values labeling index (LI) were recorded between KEH ED, as well ED SCC (Student-Neumann-Keuls test). All significantly differed grades I III. also noted grade II values. LI when III (SNK There significant correlations (Pearson correlation coefficients) both them proliferative indexes. correlated tumor grade, stage, lymph node status (Spearman coefficients), suggesting prognostic role marker.
