摘要: Abstract The Na+-dependent uptake of each eight neutral amino acids by the pigeon red blood cell in vitro is associated with an increase Na+ influx, whereas three that have uptakes little affected cause no significant stimulation movements. No net detectable during incubation any these acids, and efflux, as well seen directly glycine, alanine, β-alanine. Neither alanine nor movements are inhibited ouabain at a concentration sufficient to block normal active extrusion from cell. influx glycine occurs additively when both present together. Analysis cellular concentrations several indicates all apparent caused can be accounted for terms homogeneous heterogeneous exchange analogous endogenous acids. increments (Δvs) β-alanine parallel quantitatively increases (Δvna) over ranges tested, although kinetics stoichiometry different acid, mean values ratio Δvna:Δvs being 1.53, 2.52, 0.96, respectively. Possible interpretations findings discussed.
