摘要: Abstract From 30 days after birth until the completion of study, male and female rats were caged in same-sexed twos or threes either with (enriched cages, EC) without several objects for them to explore (standard SC). 41 50 age (late adolescence), they received a daily intraperitoneal injection saline, 10 20 mg/kg monoaminergic agonist drug abuse, 1-benzylpiperazine (BZP). Ten later (PND60+), their behavior was observed over an open field, elevated plus maze, light-dark box (to assess short-term memory) Y maze which one arms had been changed brightness between two trials. These tests repeated from 40 PND60+, namely PND100+. While open-arm occupancy at PND100+ lower following both doses SC only, other examples BZP-related heightened anxiety confined EC rats. This suggested that enrichment enhanced rather than reduced any anxiogenic effects treatment. There no plausible evidence BZP-associated impaired spatial memory required recognize novel Y-maze arm. Instead, changes novelty preferences neophobia-related most likely. there also some sex differences BZP, cases these evident ages treatment BZP doses. A number overall cage, differences, independent effects, observed.
