摘要: The parasitic nematode Strongyloides ratti reproduces by both parthenogenesis and sexual reproduction, but its genetics are poorly understood. Cytological evidence suggests that sex determination is an XX/XO system. To investigate this genetically, we isolated a number of sex-linked DNA markers. One these markers, Sr-mvP1, was shown to be single copy present at higher dose in free-living females than males. inheritance two alleles Sr-mvP1 RFLP analysis consistent with XX female XO male genotypes. Analysis the results reproduction demonstrated all progeny inherit paternal X chromosome one maternal chromosomes. Therefore, stages S. life cycle, exception males, genetically female. These findings considered relation previous analyses other known systems.
