摘要: Developmental genetic analyses of embryonic CNS development in Drosophila have uncovered the role key, high-order developmental control genes anteroposterior regionalization brain. The gene families that been characterized include otd/Otx and ems/Emx which are involved specification anterior brain, Hox differentiation posterior brain Pax anterior/posterior boundary zone. Taken together with work on mammalian development, these findings indicate all three sets evolutionarily conserved roles revealing a surprising evolutionary conservation molecular mechanisms regionalization.
