摘要: Mouse trophoblast stem (TS) cells can be grown indefinitely in vitro with FGF4 and embryonic fibroblast conditioned media (EFCM). Here, we report that the active protein components of EFCM include TGF-beta related factor activin, long-term continuous TS cell proliferation is possible supplemented only serum, FGF4, TGF-beta. As trophoblasts are an epithelial type, promotion represents unusual function for activin since particular well known as inhibitor nontransformed proliferation. Our data suggest constitutive FGF signaling selectively inhibits ability to repress c-myc expression, a central component cytostatic transcriptional response previously observed lost other types upon oncogenic Ras transformation.
