摘要: Abstract The degradation of materials (TaC, WC and NbC) for advanced energy systems induced by hydrogen at high temperatures was investigated. Experiments were conducted in vacuum (control experiments) ranging from 1000 to 1600 K. Weight loss, microstructure phase analyses performed correlate the processes these materials. No hybride formation observed any specimens when presence or absence hot hydrogen. Oxides formed runs TaC. However, oxidation TaC ceased above 1250 K Hydrogen had virtually no effect on crystal structure NbC. loss NbC enhanced whereas contrary found depend strongly experimental conditions.
