摘要: Staphylococcus enterotoxin B (SEB) is a superantigen that can induce massive activation of T cells with specific Vβ and inflammatory cytokine cascades, which mediate shock. To date, no SEB vaccine has been developed for preventing toxic shock syndrome (TSS). Here, we evaluated the therapeutic effect fusion protein human serum albumin-Vβ (HSA-Vβ) on TSS induced by SEB. Compared Vβ, preparation HSA-Vβ was much easier to handle owing its solubility. Affinity testing showed had high affinity In vitro results could effectively inhibit interferon (IFN)-γ tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α secretion peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Moreover, in vivo, reduced IFN-γ TNF-α levels protected mice from lethal challenge when administered simultaneously or 30 min after summary, simplified HSA, creating protein, inhibited production These data indicated may represent novel strategy treatment SEB-induced TSS.
