Three turbellarians, Kuma sp., Solenofilomorpha c.f. funilis and Parahaploposthia thiophilus, were exposed to oxia, anoxia, sulfide cyanide the resulting changes in CO2 production from glucose monitored. 2. All three species capable of aerobic metabolism. 3. oxybiont Kuma, decreased under exposure exposure. 4. two thiobiotic but metabolism was insensitive. oxia much higher than Parahaploposthia, however. 5. Hence, are sulfide-insensitive organisms metabolism, capability differs markedly among taxa.
