摘要: We newly developed an infrared video-oculographic system for on-line tracking of the eye position in awake and head-fixed mice, with high temporal resolution (240 Hz). The consists a commercially available high-speed CCD camera image processing software written LabVIEW run on IBM-PC plug-in video grabber board. This calculates center area pupil by fitting circular function to boundary, allows robust stable small animals like mice. On-line calculation is performed obtain reasonable boundary even if part covered shadows or occluded eyelids corneal reflections. 2-D plane converted rotation angle eyeball estimating its based anatomical model. By this recording system, it possible perform quantitative analysis rapid movements such as saccades will provide powerful tool analyzing molecular basis oculomotor cognitive functions using various lines mutant
