摘要: The use of dielectric waveguides in the form small fibers as mode selector optical masers is considered. consist a core index refraction n1 which contains maser material, surrounded by cladding lower n2. A comparison made with Fabry‐Perot interferometer used cavity. principal advantages fiber for applications are selection and stronger coupling. It shown that diameters just enough to support only two HE11 modes, fraction spontaneous emissions into waveguide modes given approximately 1.4 (n1−n2)/(n1+n2). This could make action possible at much power levels. major disadvantage difficulty pumping volume fiber. Schemes overcome this discussed.
