摘要: The aboveground carbon (AGC) storage of open Eucalyptus forests is unknown yet they are estimated to account for almost 25% all Australian and about 60% in Victoria. In this study we provide the best possible estimates total AGC including tree biomass derived from destructive sampling across 23 plots established field were then used calibration Australia’s National Carbon Accounting Model, FullCAM. aimed develop a transparent defendable method estimate one most common forests. Our calibrations showed that 8.3 M ha SE Australia sequester at least 139 Mt C more than default FullCAM predictions. Because these not subject human-induced emission such as harvesting, only emissions stock changes small area reported national inventories international greenhouse agreements. Concern climate change reduction will inevitably require land managers come up with methods estimating forest stocks types; here show how can be further developed purpose.
