摘要: Potato yield is extremely sensitive to drought and heat stress, but there are variations in the degree which cultivars affected by these stresses. Strategies for selection of stress-tolerant a breeding programme can therefore be developed. The 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride viability assay was evaluated estimate tolerance leaves tubers 12 potato differ their response drought. Floating leaf discs tuber slices 0.5 M mannitol (-1.24 MPa) simulated After acclimation treatment, were subjected lethal stress exposure an osmotic potential -2.48 MPa. after treatment estimated spectrophotometrically measuring formazan concentration at 485 nm. Lower absorbance values control compared with indicated tolerant reaction. As simulation laboratory from field conditions due effect also tolerance. A index established assist breeders distinguish between plant responses
