摘要: Abstract The effects of almitrine bismesylate (initial intravenous dose 0.6 mg·kg −1 followed by continuous infusion 0.4 ·h ) on the ventilatory response to CO 2 during hyperoxia and hypoxia were determined in 6 anaesthestized cats with use dynamics end-tidal forcing technique. It was found that almost doubled peripheral sensitivity (mean Pet O 45.6 kPa) also mild 8.7 kPa). apnoeic threshold (B) both cases shifted substantially lower values than those control measurements. No significant central either or hypoxia. is argued decrease may be due an inhibitory effect carotid body dopaminergic activity, increase stems from a “hypoxia mimetic” mechanism.
