摘要: The adult males in rural Appalachian families have been under pressure to change their roles meet the demands of modern society. This paper looks at male role derived from traditional folk culture, male's place within family, for change, and various structures that developed impact on family life. Suggestions intervention programming are discussed. There profound changes Southern past 20-30 years due, great part, industrialization its concomitant modernization region. Our specific focus this will be changing isolated low-income system, especially provider role. Implicit effects has other such as child rearing sexual partner.
