摘要: The synthesis of a new tripodal ligand family that contains tertiary amine groups in the second-coordination sphere is reported. ligands are tris(amido)amine derivatives, with pendant amines attached via peptide coupling strategy. They were designed to function as molecular catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), which acid/base group could improve catalyst performance. Two members each metalated cobalt(II) and zinc(II) afford trigonal-monopyramidal complexes. cobalt complexes [Co(L)]– dioxygen reversibly generates small amount cobalt(III) superoxo species, was characterized by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. Protonation zinc complex Zn[N{CH2CH2NC(O)CH2N(CH2Ph)2}3)]− ([Zn(TNBn)]–) 1 equiv acid occurs at primary-coordination-sphere amide moiety rather than basic site. addition excess any [M(L)]– results compl...
