Preparation and structures of dinuclear complexes containing MII–OH centers

摘要: The synthesis of MII2 complexes (MIICo, Mn) with terminal hydroxo ligands has been achieved utilizing a dinucleating ligand containing bridging pyrazolate unit and appended (neopentyl)aminopyridyl groups. Structural studies on the revealed that MII–OH units are positioned in syn-configuration, placing close proximity (ca. 3 A apart), which may be prerequisite for water oxidation.
