摘要: A review on the etiological profile of urinary tract infections in childhood and sensitivity pattern pathogens Spain is presented. Escherichia coli continues to be main agent infection childhood. Consequently, its will usually determine choice empirical therapy. The predominance E. reduced certain circumstances, which presence other microorganisms increased. However, clinical information available at diagnosis does not allow accurate identification etiology; only staining microscopic urine examination can help treatment selection. In Spain, presents a high percentage resistance ampicillin cotrimoxazole, whereas second- third-generation cephalosporins, fosfomycin, aminoglycosides amoxicillin-clavulanate maintain sensitivity. some areas, first-generation cephalosporins show levels resistance, limit their use.
