摘要: Pregestational diabetes mellitus (PGDM) and gestational (GDM) are associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes including increased caesarean section rates, macrosomia, perinatal mortality. Despite the high prevalence of GDM PGDM in Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR), most published studies examining association between GDM/PGDM have small sample sizes, low statistical power, few conflicting results. The purpose this study was to determine among women EMR, by using a meta-analysis research design. Following conceptual model epidemiologic triangle, questions for tested whether an existed delivery cesarean section, mortality EMR. A random effects used merging weighted average odds ratios 33 primary studies. Pooling data showed that, undergoing having macrosomic baby, death were higher than those without GDM/PGDM. This contributes social change providing better picture magnitude severity GDM/PGDM, creating awareness seriousness problem, helping inform public health interventions Women receiving proper care can decreased which, turn, results healthy mothers children forming family leading healthy, productive community.
