Leishmanicidal, trypanocidal, and cytotoxic activities of endophytic fungi associated with bioactive plants in Brazil

摘要: One hundred and twenty-one isolates of endophytic fungi were recovered from leaves the bioactive Brazilian plant species Ageratum myriadenia, Palicourea tetraphylla, Piptadenia adiantoides, Trixis vauthieri. All fungal cultivated in liquid media crude extracts obtained with ethyl acetate. The tested bioassay panels using Leishmania amazonensis, Trypanosoma cruzi, enzyme trypanothione reductase (TryR) three human cancer cell lines. Thirty-three (27.2%) exhibited at least one biological activity. Seventeen (14%) cytotoxic against or more line IC50 values ranged >0.2 to 25 µg/mL. Twenty-four (19.8%) inhibited activity TryR, showed ability inhibit growth T. cruzi above 60% their among 1 10 Eleven (9%) able L. amazonensis 4.6 24.4 identified as belonging genera Alternaria, Arthrinium, Cochliobolus, Colletotrichum, Penicillium, Fusarium, Gibberella.
