摘要: In this study, effects of fiber surface treatments on mechanical behavior and fracture mechanism glass fiber/epoxy composites were investigated experimentally. To change the composition regenerate to hydroxyl groups, activation pretreatment heat cleaned woven fabric was performed using (v/v) HCl aqueous solution at different concentrations before silane treatment. The treatment silanization acid activated fibers with γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane performed. work, short beam shear test has been conducted determine performance in terms interlaminar strength. coating increased strength composite. However, did not improve addition, strengths specimens tension flexure investigated. When are first treated then coupling agent, tensile decreased significantly. Scanning electron photomicrographs fractured surfaces explain failure mechanisms composite laminates broken tension.
