摘要: Forty-two patients with a bladder tumour and 4 ureteral history of abuse phenacetin-containing analgesics were studied. The sex ratio was 1:1, the mean age 63 years. estimated amount ingested phenacetin 7.1 kg, exposure time 21 years, induction 30 Renal papillary necrosis impaired renal function found in 34 patients. A recurrent urinary tract infection 80 per cent patients, suggesting that combination phenacetin-abuse chronic inflammation might be responsible for localization tumours to bladder. majority low grade (1 2); muscular invasion seldom metastases rare. followed 1.5-13 Twenty-six died; survival 46 months. Uremia due analgesic nephropathy main cause death 14 contributed another 7 Three had received radiological treatment against pelvic region, 15-20 years prior diagnosis tumour.
