摘要: Several antibodies were used to examine the distribution of two condensin members, XCAP-E and XCAP-D2, in nucleus Xenopus oocytes. XCAP-D2 was found be associated with lampbrush chromosomes. The chromosomal regions containing correspond precisely domains highly compacted chromatin, suggesting a direct contribution meiotic chromatin organization. In contrast, absent from chromosomes but detected at high concentration granular component nucleoli. subnucleolar localization further confirmed by double labeling using several nucleolar protein markers. fate also followed when changes nucleoli morphology artificially induced. apparent exclusion ribosomal DNA its tight association all preparations suggest that it might sequestrated during early stages meiosis. Interestingly, both Cajal bodies, which are organelles suspected play role assembly/modification RNA transcription processing machinery. presence condensins CBs extend such assembly macromolecular components as well.
