Influence of Age on Lipase, Amylase, and Protease Activities in Pancreatic Tissue and Intestinal Contents of Young Turkeys

摘要: Abstract Day-old male turkeys were fed either a reference diet with 12% sucrose or experimental diets tallow animal-vegetable blend (A-V fat) replacing until 56 days of age. Poults sampled at 1 day age and every 2 to 7 thereafter for determination enzyme activities pancreas contents the proximal one-fourth small intestine. In pancreatic tissue, trypsin, protease, lipase increased after lag period about 14 days. Amylase activity rapidly during first intestinal contents, amylase from Day 21. Development seemed depend on dietary fat level. Low observed low throughout study. With high diets, 3 wk was followed by five-fold increase in activity.
