Surgical management of oligometastatic disease in gastric cancer.

摘要: Summary A distinctive subset of metastatic gastric cancer (MGC) is oligometastatic disease (OMD), which characterized by lesions limited in number and location. Although growing evidence mainly based on retrospective analysis or single center case series has shown favorable prognosis the management OMD with aggressive local treatment, no existing guidelines explicitely address definition there are still controversial opinions how to proceed a new era more effective systemic therapy selection. In this review, we present current advances as well MGC, including definition, diagnosis, treatments especially surgery, prognostic factors, ongoing randomized clinical studied challenges facing field.
