摘要: Chronic calcaneal osteomyelitis is a difficult surgical problem, especially in diabetic patients. After aggressive eradication of nonviable soft tissue and infected bone, there will be large soft-tissue bony defect. A distally based sural fasciomusculocutaneous flap including the nerve midline cuff gastrocnemius muscle can useful for covering This designed on proximal half posterior calf has an adequate blood supply derived from retrograde perfusion vascular axis to musculocutaneous perforators muscle. The patency peroneal artery should confirmed by Doppler ultrasound or angiography before surgery. If are any problems, this not used avoid complications resulting poor circulation. approach been 11 patients past 2 years. All flaps survived completely all wounds healed uneventfully. authors found that was reliable technically simple design execute. 1-stage procedure only preserves major arteries injured leg but also proved valuable filling defect treating infection because it provides well-vascularized fragment. Compared with other transfers, special characteristics use chronic osteomyelitis.
