摘要: AIM: CT-guided stereotactic methods have long been used for the diagnosis and treatment of intracranial masses. Intracranial tuberculoma is a rare form extrapulmonary tuberculosis. This study presents our experience on use biopsy in management tuberculomas. MATERIAL METHODS: Thirteen patients with masses underwent procedures tissue samples to establish In 6 suitable patients, microsurgical was performed both diagnostic therapeutic purposes, whereas only conducted remaining subjects. RESULTS: The established 12 out 13 cases (92%). Seizure control achieved all admitted history seizures. There no procedure-related mortality, none suffered permanent disability most were uneventful. Total resection without any residual mass done. All responded antituberculous complete lesion disappearance. CONCLUSION: These findings suggest that surgery tuberculomas has other methods, potential become first-line modality, particularly as tool, lesions.
