摘要: The ER stress response is a signaling pathway that transmits information about the homeostasis of lumen (or its disruption) to nucleus and cytoplasm. Metazoan cells can respond by upregulating protein folding, export degradation machinery, downregulating global translation, apoptosis. has been well characterized in S. cerevisiae, but mammalian pathways are significantly more complex only partially understood. Here we review major components both yeast highlight their role normal cellular physiology selected pathological conditions.
