摘要: Objectives It is well known that small cell carcinoma (SmCC) arising at extrapulmonary sites leads to a poor prognosis for patients. Owing the infrequency of primary SmCC head and neck, it very unlikely any large, controlled study will ever be performed. For this reason, recommendations treatment in neck are based primarily on retrospective data from various case series. Patients methods We report five patients with seen between 2001 2007. In two patients, SmCCs larynx; another sinonasal region; one patient, tonsil. Results Four accepted concurrent chemoradiation therapy (CCRT). Their outcomes as follows: died, has adrenal bone metastasis but still alive, shows no evidence disease after treatment. One patient refused CCRT died within 6 months. Conclusions The generally poor. Treatment most often involves combination radiotherapy chemotherapy, hope improved hinges principally development chemotherapies other systemic treatments.
