摘要: Trace amine-associated receptors (TAARs) are a class of sensory G protein-coupled that detect biogenic amines, products decarboxylation amino acids. The majority TAARs (TAAR2-TAAR9) have been described mainly in the olfactory epithelium and considered to be sensing innate odors. However, there is recent evidence one members this family, TAAR5, expressed also limbic brain areas receiving projection from system involved regulation emotions. In study, we further characterized mouse line lacking TAAR5 (TAAR5 knockout, TAAR5-KO mice) express beta-galactosidase mapping expression. We found mice number dopamine neurons, striatal levels its metabolites, as well GDNF mRNA, elevated indicating potential increase neuron proliferation. Furthermore, an analysis expression revealed present major neurogenic such subventricular zone (SVZ), subgranular (SGZ) less potentially surrounding 3rd ventricle. Direct neurogenesis by using specific markers doublecortin (DCX) proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) at least 2-fold neurons SVZ SGZ mice, but no were detected mutant or control These observations indicate not only emotional status adult transmission. Thus, future antagonists may exert antidepressant and/or anxiolytic action provide new treatment opportunity for neurodegenerative disorders Parkinson's disease.
