摘要: Adrenoceptors (ARs) mediate the effects of sympathetic neurotransmitters norepinephrine (NE) and epinephrine (E) in human body play a central role physiologic pathologic processes. Therefore, ARs have long been recognized as targets for therapeutic agents, especially field cardiovascular medicine. During past decades, contribution nervous system (SNS) particularly its major peripheral catecholamine NE to pathogenesis osteoarthritis (OA) attracted growing interest. OA is most common degenerative joint disorder worldwide disease whole joint. It characterized by progressive degradation articular cartilage, synovial inflammation, osteophyte formation, subchondral bone sclerosis mostly resulting chronic pain. The marrow, periosteum, synovium, vascular meniscus numerous tendons ligaments are innervated tyrosine hydroxylase-positive (TH+) nerve fibers that release into fluid cells all abovementioned tissues express at least one out nine AR subtypes. several vitro studies explored AR-mediated on different cell types So far, only few used animal models investigate distinct subtypes vivo. This narrative review shortly summarizes current background knowledge about their signalling pathways first. In second part, we focus recent findings NE-induced during end, will delineate potential targeting adrenergic prevention or treatment. We PubMed bibliographic database search keywords such 'joint' 'cartilage' 'synovium' 'bone' 'osteoarthritis' and/or 'trauma' 'sympathetic fibers' 'norepinephrine' 'adrenergic receptors / adrenoceptors' well therapy'.
