摘要: Allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (alloHCT) extends the lives of thousands patients who would otherwise succumb to malignancies such as leukemias and lymphomas, aplastic anemia disorders immune system. In alloHCT, different types mediate beneficial graft-versus-tumor (GvT) effects, regulate detrimental graft-versus-host disease (GvHD), are required for protection against infections. Today, ‘good’ (GvT effector cells memory conferring protection) cannot be easily separated from ‘bad’ (GvHD-causing cells), alloHCT remains a hazardous medical modality. The stem into an immunosuppressed patient creates delicate environment reconstitution donor blood in co-existence with host cells. Immunological determines large extent status allo-transplanted infections recurrence cancer, is critical long-term survival after clinical alloHCT. Animal models continue extremely valuable experimental tools that widen our understanding of, example, dynamics post-transplant hematopoiesis complexity multiple ways interaction between this review, we discuss rat model HCT allogeneic individuals. We summarize findings on lymphocyte transplanted rats illustrate pathology particular model. also introduce skin explant assay, feasible alternative vivo studies. assay can used elucidate biology reactions (GvHR), which known have major impact reconstitution, perform genome-wide gene expression studies using controlled combinations minor histocompatibility recipient.
