摘要: A 9-week-old intact female dwarf rabbit was presented for evaluation of a heart murmur. Physical examination revealed grade IV/VI systolic murmur with the maximal intensity over right base. Evidence left-sided cardiomegaly present on lateral and dorsoventral radiographs. An electrocardiogram recorded in recumbency, which sinus tachycardia rate 360 beats/minute. Echocardiography showed normal dimensions atria ventricles. Two-dimensional echocardiography confirmed presence perimembranous ventricular septal defect (VSD) diameter 0.8 mm. Identification VSD possible from (long short axes) left parasternal window. Peak flow velocity to shunt 5.2 m/s. Additionally, relative pulmonic stenosis (peak pulmonary artery 1.02 m/s, pulsed-wave Doppler) present. According these findings, classified as restrictive. At this time point, medical treatment unnecessary. The re-examination after 7 weeks unchanged morphological haemodynamic findings. displayed both physical echocardiographic examinations typical features seen dogs cats well one New Zealand white rabbit.
