摘要: Abstract High resolution electron energy loss spectra have been recorded for hydrogen (and deuterium) adsorbed on Pd(110) at 100 K. Measurements performed as a function of coverage in order to follow the adsorption-induced surface reconstruction. On unreconstructed surfaces, is pseudo-three-fold site. Loss peaks are observed 98 meV (790 cm−1) and 120 (968 cm−1). The reconstruction causes decrease intensity higher frequency peak, even though increased. Hydrogen sub-surface sites did not produce any new spectra.
