Ensuring the effective implementation of transnational company agreements

摘要: Over the past decade, a number of European companies have negotiated transnational company agreements. These agreements may help improve labour standards in subsidiaries, and even more for those employed by subcontractors or suppliers. They also encourage social dialogue at these levels. However, given their uncertain legal status, how it is possible to ensure effective implementation throughout company's subsidiaries? What matters less status collective agreement than active involvement various actors involved process. The role signatories course crucial, but its requires commitment local managements workers' representatives. This article draws on discussions interviews with managers worker representatives directly agreements, identifies ways this kind commitment.
