摘要: Melatonin (MT) and sirtuins (SIRT) are geroprotective molecules that hold back the aging process development of age-related diseases, including cardiovascular pathologies. Buccal epithelium (BE) sampling is a non-invasive procedure, yielding highly informative material for evaluating expression genes proteins as well synthesis molecules. Among these, MT SIRTs valuable markers The purpose this study was to examine patterns these signaling molecules, in particular MT, SIRT1, SIRT3, SIRT6 BE subjects different ages with without arterial hypertension (AH). We used real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) immunofluorescence analysis by confocal microscopy. found intensity decreases aging, more evidently AH patients. SIRT3 decreased controls. In patients, gene relation age comparison age-matched conclusion, evaluation could provide method appraising process, also when accompanied AH.
