摘要: Abstract The determination of the source position ( x , y z ) a discrete gamma-ray using peak count rates from four measurement points was studied. We derived semi-empirical formulas to find under condition neglect attenuation effects by obstacles between target and detector. To validate methodology, we performed locating experiments for 137 Cs small volume placed at 10 different positions on floor laboratory in this study. In study, portable HPGe gamma spectrometry system with virtual point detector concept used. calculation results were compared reference values measured rule. applicability methodology estimated based differences results.
