摘要: : To quantify the effectiveness of best management practice (BMP) implementation on runoff, sediment, and nutrient yields from a watershed, Nomini Creek watershed water quality monitoring project was initiated in 1985, Westmoreland County, Virginia. The changes nonpoint source (NPS) loadings resulting BMPs were evaluated by comparing selected parameters data series obtained before, during, after periods BMP implementation. results indicated that watershed-averaged curve number, (N P) concentrations reduced approximately 5, 20, 40 percent, respectively, due to yield model developed Frere et al. (1980) applied 175 storms, but it failed adequately describe observed phenomena. Seasonal availability factors not consistent with field conditions, nor they significantly different pm- post-BMP periods. An extended period monitoring, intensive over larger portion is required identify effectiveness.
