摘要: Background: Understanding glenohumeral motion in normal and pathologic states requires the precise measurement of shoulder kinematics. The effect plane arm elevation on translations rotations remains largely unknown. purpose this study was to measure three-dimensional during healthy subjects. Methods: Eight male subjects performed scaption forward flexion, five (three men two women) abduction, inside a dynamic biplane fluoroscopy system. Bone geometries were extracted from computed tomography images used determine position orientation humerus scapula individual frames. Descriptive statistics determined for joint translations, linear regressions calculate scapulohumeral rhythm ratio. Results: ratio 2.0 ± 0.4:1 1.6 0.5:1 scaption, 1.1 0.3:1 with flexion being significantly lower than that abduction (p = 0.002). Humeral head excursion largest (5.1 mm) smallest (2.4 0.6 < 0.001). direction translation, as by regression slope, more inferior (−2.1 1.8 mm/90°) compared (0.1 10.9 0.024). Conclusions: Scapulohumeral decreased moved an anterior arc flexion. amount physiologic varied elevation, showed inconsistent patterns across exception consistent translation abduction. Clinical Relevance: When evaluating kinematics clinical assessment or rehabilitation protocols, it is important take into account control elevation. Abnormalities scapular may be better evaluated because greater required motion.
