摘要: We note here that quadratic entropy, a measure of biological diversity introduced by C.R. Rao, is variant the weighted Wiener index, graph invariant intensively studied in mathematical chemistry. This fact allows us to deduce some efficient algorithms for computing entropy case given tip weights, which may be useful community biodiversity measures. Furthermore, on ultrametric phylogenetic trees, maximum pairwise evolutionary distinctness conservation biology, S. Pavoine. present an algorithm maximizes this quantity linear time, offering significant improvement over currently used programming approaches.
