摘要: Chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis (CLT) is the most common cause of thyroid enlargement in children and adolescents iodine sufficient areas. The prevalence pattern CLT adolescent girls deficient regions supplemented with as yet not known. We therefore, carried out clinical examination for presence goitre 330 healthy from Delhi age group 16-20 years those were further subjected to detailed biochemical (T3, T4, TSH), immunological (ATg ad ATm) cytomorphological examination. was found be 40%. Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) 94 (74%) revealed finding consistent 13 (13.8%), colloid non-specific 7 (7.4%), 71 (75.5%) specimen inadequate 3 (3.2%) girls. Thyroid antibodies estimated 114 goitrous subjects both ATg ATm positive 11 (9.6%) cases. Overall this population 4.0% among 13.8%.
